2. General

We process personal data only as far as necessary to provide this website and to handle your enquiries. No analytics or advertising services (such as Google Analytics) are used, and no content or fonts are loaded from third parties.

3. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Host.it (HOST S.p.A., Turin, Italy). When you visit the site, the server processes technically necessary connection data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) to deliver the site and keep it secure. The hosting provider deletes these logs automatically after a short time. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation).

4. Contact and enquiry form

If you use the form, we process the data you enter (name, email address, optionally phone number, desired apartment and travel dates, number of guests, your message) to answer your enquiry. The data is sent to us by email and also stored for a maximum of 180 days in a protected area of the website, after which it is deleted automatically. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and (a) (your consent, given by ticking the box in the form). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. The data is not passed on to third parties.

5. Cookies

This website uses only technically necessary cookies:
- Language choice (vlang): remembers the language you chose with the language switch so that the home page opens in that language in future. Only set after you click the switch, duration 10 years.
- Cookie choice (vcc): stores your decision in the cookie notice, duration 180 days.
- Session cookie (valantin_s): set only when sending the contact form or in the administration area, used to protect against abuse (security token) and deleted when you close the browser.
There are no cookies for statistics, marketing or advertising (except Google cookies if you load the map, see section 8). You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; the website remains usable. You can change your choice via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page.

6. External links

This website contains links to external sites (e.g. Dolomiti Superski, Val Gardena, South Tyrol). Once you click them, the privacy policies of the respective providers apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Please contact info@valantin.it. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Italy this is the “Garante per la protezione dei dati personali” (www.garanteprivacy.it).

8. Map (Google Maps)

On the contact page you can display a map from Google Maps. The map is only loaded once you click “Load map”. Data (including your IP address and browser details) is then transferred to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and Google may set cookies. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) given by clicking. Without a click, no data is transferred. The “Get directions” link opens Google Maps in a new tab only after you click it. 9. Chat assistant “Valantin” (AI)

You can use an AI chat on this website. Use is voluntary and only starts after you click “Understood, start chat” (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Your chat messages are sent via our server to the Groq service (Groq, Inc., USA), which generates the reply; data may be processed outside the EU. We do not store chat histories, only a count of requests (without content) to protect against abuse and control costs. Please do not enter personal or sensitive data in the chat.
